Spend a few days checking out the city, paragliding, eating Big Macs, etc.

September 4 - Fly to Cusco; spend two days getting acclimated to the height.

September 6 - 4 days hiking the Inca Trail

September 9 - Stay overnight in Aguas Calientes (Hot Springs)

September 10 - Stay overnight in Cusco

September 11 - Hop on a bus for Puno, on Lake Titicacaa near the Bolivian border. Stay overnight and take a boat through Titicacaa and visit some of the islands there.

September 12 - Bus to La Paz. Staying at the Adventure Brew Hostel - it has its own microbrewery on the premises.

September 14 - Biking down the Worlds Most Dangerous Road.

September 15 - Fly to Porto Alegre, Brazil. I have to take like 5 connecting flights and get there the next afternoon.

September 20 - Going to a Gremio game (Joao's favourite team).

September 22 - Fly to Buenos Aires and meet up with Juanises.

September 28 - Fly to Dallas. Go to the art museum, aquarium, JFK Musuem (in the sixth floor of the book depository where Oswald shot from). Seeing the reunited Get Up Hallsys on the 30th.

October 1 - Bus to Waco and check out the Doctor Pepper Museum. Then bus to Austin.

October 2 to 4 - Austin City Limits. Pearl Jam, DMB, Coheed, Flogging Molly, Arctic Hirstys, Kings of Leon, Trail of Dead, Clutch, K'Nizzle, Dead Weather, etc.

October 5 - Fly back to Cayman

October 7 - Drinking Club with Patty and Killa.

I am going to be swamped with work for a few days when I get back.

So, other than planning my trip, things are pretty fantastic here. The new place is AMAZING. Swimming all the time, playing tennis a few times per week, walking over to the gym to sculp my guns, watching Coheed DVDs with Juansies, partying a lot, etc. Work is completely dead, which is a great change. Might pick up in the next week and a half. I will need to get a lot done before I take off.

Off to bed now; will need a good rest for football tomorrow.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

INSOMNIA SUCKS

Dear Livejournal,

Hallsy is having a devil of a time getting to sleep this work. It's even worse tonight because I started going to the gym again this week. Three nights in a row...my whole upper body is in agony and I can't get comfortable. I don't think it would matter, though.

Not much is new. Work is still hectic. It was great having Jimbo and Hallsy and Sarah down, but I feel bad that I had to work so much while they were here. I hope they had a good time. I might go visit them in July for Bayfest and bring a bunch of dudes with me.

I am hoping work will be less stressful after this week. Might still have a lot to do next week, but after that it should most def settle down a bit. Everyone at work is freaking out because the biggest client just decided to liquidate 1/3 of their funds. About a million and a half smicksmacks of lost revenue. Also, one of the biggest fund administrators laid off a bunch of people last week.

I'm going to Tampa next weekend with all my dudes. Going to a Lightning game, a Magic game, and riding coasters at Busch Gardens until I barf on the ground. It will be *awesome*.

Probably hitting Cuba in May. Argentina in September. And South Africa next July. We applied for tickets to the semifinal and final of the World Cup.

I need to call J-Roc. I want to send him some cakie and get him to short GOOG so hard. Just *short* it straight to *Hell*.

I am going to go and whoop my mom in more Facebizzle quizzes now.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

T-BONE

Dear Livejournal,

Life has been pretty uneventuful since the last entry. Last Thursday, we had an insurance team get-together because Mike and Ben are both leaving. We played pool and had some filthy steaks at Copper Falls. The next night was a party for all the managers and partners. It was kind of lame, but me and Juansies were the last ones to leave.

On Sunday I played in a mini-football tourney with some dudes. It was six-a-side (five plus a goalie) and the games were only 15 minutes. We were whooping ass but lost on penalties in the semis against a team that was mostly made up of dudes from the national team. They won the final easily, so we did pretty well. The field we were playing on was great, but I slid once and ripped a huge chunk out of my knee on the turf (and tore a further chunk out of the aforementioned chunk today at the usual Sunday morning match).

Anyway, the reason I posted this entry - I just made myself a faaaat T-bone and it reminded me of the time that we all took my Grandma out for her birthday at the Chipican. She ordered the fattest T-Bone they had and took almost 3 hours to eat the whole thing, bite by tiny bite. I don't think I've ever seen her happier, just ignoring everyone, working away at her stakie, and occasionally accouncing that, "We don't get good food like this at the home!"

I hope she is just beaming down at me from Heaven right now.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

FAVRE RULES

Dear Livejournal,

It's been a pretty hectic and eventful week here.

Monday night I went out and saw the best movie ever made. I knew it would be good, but damn...I mean, *****damnnit! It's not even close, that is BY FAR the greatest flick I've ever seen. I'm going to see it on an IMAX in Alberta in a few weeks.

On Tuesday we had a Strategic Planning day for our management team. It was a long day of discussing issues and brainstorming solutions. It was interesting to see a different side of the office. And there was free food, juice and coffee all day. Best of all, we had a free dinner at Prime afterwards.

Wednesday was strategic planning again for the first half of the day. Then on Wednesay night we beat the first place team in indoor soccer. They hadn't lost all year and we *whooped* them. I think the final score was 6-4 but we we were up 4-0 early and they were never really in it. The refs were horrible as usual...actually even worse than usual because we were playing a local team. I had to take matters into my own hands and start knocking some idiots around out there. Anyway, since football season was about to start, I obviously celebrated the victory with some Favretinis.

Thursday....I don't remember what I did.

Friday I worked my ass off. But I got my Jet Favre jersey in the mail!

Best birthday present ever? All signs point to...yesss.

My Great Outdoor Fight hardcover also arrived.

Friday night I missed a big night out with the dudes because Lyndz was left alone for an hour and a half and got wasted, so I had to drive her home. Not impressed.

Saturday I just worked and cleaned the house all day.

Sunday morning I played soccer then watched Favre work his magic. I predict the Jets will go undefeated this year.

Right now I am working and cheering on the Vikes to come back and beat the hated Packers.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

HURRICANE WIMPTAV

Dear Livejournal,

Hurricane Gustav came through last night. It was a pretty wimpy hurricane. We just stayed at home because our apartment is basically a bunker; the walls and ceiling are solid concrete and we have hurricane shutters on the windows. We didn't get hit directly and it was only a Cat 1, so we only got winds of about 60 mph. Lyndz was pretty scared last night but I barely noticed it. They didn't even turn the water off and the electricity stayed on until after midnight before it went out (it was back on by morning). So, things are back to normal here. Lyndz even had to go in to work today even though they had planned to stay closed tonight. I will take advantage of some quality Hallsy time to watch Jarmusch flicks, go running, and shoot some billiards with Matt Yep.

I just checked the latest on Gustav and its up to a Category 4 now with winds of 150mph. I guess we're lucky it didn't strengthen until after it passed us.

Oh, not sure if I mentioned this before, but I am getting promoted to manager effective October 1. A little nervous about the added responsibility but it should be a big step forward career-wise and I will be making more money so I can finally pay off all my debt and start saving up some cakie. And I can afford to take a couple little trips in the next year or so. I'm pretty pumped about it.

My birthday was pretty good. Jordie left an amazing 'sage on my phone, Herrsty called and sang his usual tune for me, and we went to Lonestar for some filthy enchiladas and crunchy Stellas.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

OMG HALLSY'S SURPRISE BIRTHDIZZLE

Dear Livejournal,

I had a kick-ass surprise party last weekend. The best part of all was that Lyndz got me a pinata:

Unfortunately, the stick broke on my second swing. After that, Joao held the pinata up while I punched the Hell out of it. Hurt my hand pretty bad since it was basically the hardest pinata ever made.

Bethstar came and bought me a brewdogg bong!

Things got pretty ugly after that.

At one point, Lyndz got me an MD. However, the wine glass was way too small and the shot glass way too big to make it possible. But it was good for some laughs.

It was a pretty awesome night. I was *hung* over all day Saturday.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

AJF;A'JRPWQFF'AK

Dear Livejournal,

I am just in AWE of Pearl Jam right now. I knew that they were the best live band I'd ever seen but I think I forgot just how amazing they were. I got the Live at MSG DVD yesterday and am watching it now. It's unbelievable how good they are. It's just not believable. They are the greatest band in the world without a doubt...even better than HT3.

Just for shits and giggles - here is the set list from when I saw PJ back in '05 (they played their balls off for 2 hours and 45 minutes):

Set 1

Oceans, Breakerfall, Corduroy, Hail Hail, Animal, Glorified G, Black Red Yellow, In My Tree, Better Man/(Modern Girl), You Are, Not For You, Jeremy, Wishlist, Even Flow, Bleed For Me, Rearviewmirror

Encore 1

Nothing As it Seems, Off He Goes, Hard To Imagine, Alive

Encore 2

Go, Grievance, Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town, State Of Love And Trust, Smile, Rockin' In The Free World

Notes:

Pre-opener: Growin' Up

Yesterday was our end of busy season party at work. Great time - we went to the Turtle Farm. We lost the team game due to my team screwing up while I was waiting at the bar 20 minutes for drinks. I tried to make up for it in the limbo competition but failed horribly. The highlight of the day was playing on the children's slide with Pedito.

Supposed to go to a birthday party tonight and eat some Brazilian meat stew.

OMG - need to focus on Eddie now.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

CANADA DAY

Dear Livejournal,

I've been taking 'er easy since the wedding. Haven't been drinking at all but I made an exception for Canada Day. We took a nap after work and didn't get out until almost 11. Went down to Calico Jack's for some beach party action. Good times...there were a couple of bands and a lot of Canadians. The crowd was a sea of red and white - except for these knuckleheads who obviously didn't get the memo:

I wore the "KISS HALLSY HALLSY'S CANADIAN" jersey that I bought just for Canada Day last year. Only collected 3 kisses, though.

Then I did some awfully lame fake smiling:

All in all, it was a great time.

I'm staying in tonight because I'm tired. Really burnt out from work at the minute. Fortunately, it's a long weekend and I can relax a bit. Tonight I'm watching Hell of Paul Newman mmmovies and furiously adding Paul Newman DVDs to my wish list at Amazonia.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

Dear Livejournal,

Hallsy has been a goal scoring machine lately. Thursday night I got both goals in a losing cause in the championship game for ball hockey. We lost 3-2 to the team that normally whoops us (they have won the league three times in a row). I hit the post in the last minute of the game. Yesterday I scored 3 in Sunday morning soccer as we whooped the Argentines, 5-3. I rewarded myself by eating homelets and sassages with Matt Yep.

The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful. Friday I worked until 7 and went home for a 3 hour nap. Hung out with Lyndz a little bit after that. Saturday was a golf tournament for the Gaelic football association. I hit the ball really well considering I hadn't played in a year and a half. We shot 6 under (it was best ball). Tied for third. Saturday night I stayed in watching Breaking Bad while Lyndz worked and Back to the Future when she got home. Sunday I scored goals and ate homelets then watched the Cayman national soccer team play an exhibition against a mixed team featuring the legendary Romario. Our Brazilian friend Marcos got to play on Romario's team. After that I made a filthy stir-fry had a Weeds marathon.

Today has been a long day. I've been at the 'fice for 11 hours now. Waiting for the admin dept to finish some statements so I can send them to a client. Work should be pretty slow after today. I'm looking forward to it.

OMG I FORGOT TO MENTION - Patty's wedding was off the chain. I looked just handsome as *Hell*. A few people were angry with me for being "too handsome." My parents and Patty were all bawling like little babies during the ceremony and the speeches. Me and Sarah wailed out some karaoke and got the dance floor cookin'. It was great to see everyboy at once. I just wish I had been home for longer.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

Dear Livejournal,

Saturday is my brother's wedding. I'm so pumped about going home for it. I will only be there for the weekend; wish it was for a lot longer. It's going to be a blast. J-Rock is going to be rocking the Hell out of the mic.

Today I have been enjoying the long weekend. Laying around the apartment watching Blade movies and cooking filthy pasta. Yesterday my Brazilian friend Joao had a barbecue while we watched Brazil vs. Paraguay and Agrentina vs. Ecuador in soccer. It was really good. Not quite as good as Prime, but still great. Later on, we had some peeps over to hang out and watch basketball. It was pretty cool because we had 2 Canadians, 3 Argentinians, 1 Kenyan, 1 Indian and 1 Brit. That's one thing I love about living here, you get to be friends with people from all over the world. I look forward to traveling to visit all of them in a few years from now.

Lyndz decided that she is going to move back to Canada in the fall. I am not looking forward to the long distance but it's for the best. She's not happy here and it's been affecting our relationship. Things have been much better the last week since she made up her mind to go home.

Not much else is new. I signed my contract to stay here until next June 30th. I love living here and I'm not ready to leave. I meet so many great people, I have so many sports to play, the weather is always beautiful, it's great. I couldn't stay here forever but right now it's perfect for me.

I am going to eat chicken wings now.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

RAN 7 MILES

Dear Livejournal,

My boy PEDRO MANUEL asked me last week if I wanted to train for a marathon with him. We promptly went for a kick-ass 7 mile run. No walking, one stop to cagar at the Hyatt, just over an hour to run more than a quarter marathon. Our training is already way ahead of schedule. Plus, Pedro might become my new best mate. We were looking for obstacles together, running up and down stairs in front of the Lobster Pot, etc. He told me that he wants to go to an Army boot camp and wants to play sports every day. He is the Spanish Hallsy; I wish his wife let him out more.

It looks like I've broken out of my ball hockey slump. Two games ago, I broke my 20 game scoring drought by going to the net and banging in a juicy rebound in the last minute of a 9-6 win. The next game I broke out with a big toque trick. The first goal was just Hallsy battling for position in front and redirecting a pass from close in. The next two were beauties. I took a bad centering pass from FRANKIE FRECKLEFACE to Hallsy's right foot and kicked it to Hallsy's stick for a quick snap shot in the top corner. Then I intercepted a pass back to the point and dangled around the defenceman. I was coming down the left wing on a breakaway and faked a move out front to the backhand then cut back to the short side and slid it through the 5-hole. It should go without saying that I made some clutch shot blocks throughout the game; my ass is still bruised from blocking one slap shot point blank.

I am going to play soccer now.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

Dear Livejournal,

I'm way behind in updates. Amestar and Johnny were here a couple weeks ago. I will post some pictures when Amestar sends them to me. Branson and Catsies were here this week and I will post some pickies when they send me some. Branson was *legendary* on the booze cruise night.

Anyway, back on Oscar weekend, I was going to buy a George Clooney cake and Lyndz complained that I never got her a Lyndsay cake. She is singing a different tune now:

Also, a few weeks ago I made her this:

Love, Hallsy XOXO

VEGAS BABY!

Dear Livejournal,

There has been some schedule finagling because Lyndz couldn't go on vacation when we planned, but it's been worked out.

The new plan:

April 1st to 7th: Lyndz and Hallsy go to Vegas

April 16th to April 21st: Hallsy goes to Pattimi Swamini's bowling tourney

May or June: Hallsy (and maybe Lyndz) try to get a couple days off to be the Best Hallsy.

July: Hallsy and Lydz go to the Stampede.

So, it should be awesome! Only a few weeks from now, Hallsy will be in the GAS!!!!111

On an unrelated note, I invented a new drink, The Caymandia Mimosa. The ingredients are Ketel One, Sprite Zero, and a splash of Tropicana.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

PRIME TIME 2

Dear Livejournal,

We are going to Prime tonight to celebrate Beto Suave finally finishing his first file. I am going to eat my own weight in meat.

I probably will go back later this month when Branson gets here. We will have the filthiest meat-off that place has ever seen.

This weekend was pretty relaxed. I didn't go into the office and I didn't go out Friday and Saturday except to watch the Habs vault into first place last night. Today I played soccer and Gaelic football in the blazing sun and got a wicked sunburn on my face.

I booked my flight home on April 16th for Patty's bowling tourney. It's only for 5 days - Lyndz couldn't come this time so I'm saving my vacation days to bring her home this summer.

Johnny and Amestar get here in one week. It's going to be awesome! They're only here for 5 days so we have to make the most of it. Work is going to be rough that week.

I am going to watch the Sopranos.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

OSCAR PREDICTIONS

Dear Livejournal,

I am going to start posting updates way more often!

Things have been awesome as usual. Keeping busy with work and sports and shenanigans. Went to Fidel's last night to watch karaoke and boxing. I was going to have an Oscars bash tonight to celebrate Clooney finally winning the Best Actor Oscar but Lyndz wants to go out for sushi.

OSCAR PICKS!

Best Actor

Will win - George Clooney

Should win - George Clooney

Best Actress

Who cares? I guess I will pick the punk from Juno since I haven't seen anything else. Oh, and Cate Blanchett better not win.

Best Mmmmmmmmmmovie

Will win - No Country for Old Men

Should win - Gone Baby Gone. How in the blue Hell was this not nominated? There Will Be Blood was awful. This category is retarded this year. Where is Die Hard 4?

Best Director

Will win - Joel & Ethan Coen

Should win - Joel & Ethan Coen. The flick wasn't anything special, but it's about time that they won.

Best Supporting Actor

Will win - Casey Affleck

Should win - Casey Affleck because Javier Bardem wasn't that cool. He just walked around with a bad haircut and talked like a robot.

Best Supporting Actress

Should win - Anyone but Cate Blanchett.

Best Documentary

Should win - The King of Kong.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

PRIME TIME

Dear Livejournal,

If this doesn't get J-Rock rushing down here to visit Hallsy, I don't know what will....

A new Brazilian restaurant, Prime, opened here a couple months ago. It is AWESOME. It's expensive but so worth it. The deal is, you pay $45 and that gets you a huge salad bar with potato salad, shrimps, salmon, gorgonzola, feta, mozzarella, prosciutto, asparagus, lobster bisque, and much more. But, more importantly, you also get to eat as much meat as you want. A bunch of dudes wander around the dining area with large skewers of meat. You have a card on your table; one side is green and one side is read. As long you have the green side up, the meat dudes will just keep bringing meat to you. And they have ALL kinds of stuff - sirloin, flank steak, beef ribs, filet mignon, jerk chicken, sassages, lamb, pork loin, bacon-wrapped chicken, etc. It was SO GOOD. Anyway, I ate 11 pounds of meat. It was incredible.

OMG....

OMG!

SO GOOD!

The night after that was my office Ex-Miss party at the Wharf. The food was supposedly great there, but I was still too full from Prime to eat much of anything. I stuck with my wine and Captain Morgan's. They gave really nice framed pictures to everyone after the party. Since Lyndz was visiting Alberta at the time, I got a lovely picture of me and Juansies.

Me and Asif were the two handesomest dudes there, though:

However, Glen Halili was the best dressed:

Beth was the most drunkenest:

Random people:

My new archnemesis at work, Pedro:

Tarpons at the Wharf:

Me and Matt Yep:

I am going to watch Extras now.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

Dear Livejournal,

Paul Allen was back yesterday. I took a vacation day because Lucky Linzi was going home today so I went to Sunset House and took a couple pictures.

Close up:

Saturday was beach volleyball day. This is Jojo, the coolest guy on the island:

This was our team:

Anyway, I'm home alone for the next week and a half and I aim to watch fifty movies, so I better go get started.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

HALF-MARATHON #2

Dear Livejournal,

I got up at 5 a.m. today and ran 13 miles. My legs are in a world of pain right now.

MILE BY MILE BREAKDOWN:

Mile #1 -- Pretty easy. I had been dreading this day for a few weeks because I haven't trained at all. The hardest part was getting out of bed at 4 in the morning and getting to the start line. Once the race started, I felt pretty good. I was expecting to do worse than last year but it didn't bother me. I was proud enough of doing it at all.

Mile #2 -- A bit of a panic for the next mile and a half as I thought I was going to have to stop and pooh. Unfortunately, there is absolutely nowhere on the route to do that so I was extremely worried.

Mile #3 -- Still pretty gaseous and nervous about it. About halfway through this mile, though, I started to get in a groove and the gastrointestinal problems went away.

Mile #4 -- I was planning to take a breather around this spot and walk a bit but I felt good and decided to keep running a little longer.

Mile #5 -- I was going at a really good pace and just kept it up. It felt great because I was doing way better than I expected. I started feeling very confident that I could beat my time from last year (2:03:44).

Mile #6 -- I was still going good and passing a ton of people. The turn-around was at 6.5 miles and I was not as far back as I expected.

Mile #7 -- Definitely starting to get tired. Going into the turnaround I had a goal in sight to keep running towards but this is a very long straight stretch and it was hard to stay motivated. I starting walking for small stretches.

Mile #8 -- I got a Power Bar at this water stop which slowed me down for a while trying to get the damned wrapper off it and eat it. However it did give me a huge boost of energy. Unfortunately, my legs were feeling very heavy at this point so I couldn't run hard.

Mile #9 -- Starting to struggle a lot and looking forward to just finishing.

Mile #10 -- Got the miles confused. Thought I was on Mile 11 until I hit the Mile 11 mark, which was a big blow to the psyche.

Mile #11 -- Fortunately, there were a lot of turns here to keep me focused. Plus, I passed one dude and told him to keep going because he was almost there and he started running again so I had to keep running for a while until he gave up again.

Mile #12 -- I was in a ton of pain by this point. I started walking for 10-20 seconds, then running hard for a minute and running again. It felt much tougher than last year. This was another straight stretch that really killed me. I wanted so badly to keep running the rest of the way, but I couldn't. I had to walk a bit every minute or so.

Mile #13 -- I kicked 'er into high gear and passed a bunch of people, but I was *dying*. I had to stop and walk about 20 yards and then sprinted to the finish. Felt like I was going to collapse. But I made it and it felt awesome. My legs have *never* hurt so much. I sat down immediately and someone brought me Gator Smashers. I tried to stand in line for a free massage but the line was enormous and it hurt too much stand. And they didn't have brewdoggs this year! I was not impressed with that. Anyway, I drove home victoriously, took a nap and watched the first two Bourne flicks.

Oh, and I set a new personal best -- 2:01:25.

Other notes:

-- I played beach volleyball all day Saturday and got a hellacious burn all over my body.

-- Lyndz met the guitarist from the Libertines. He is a regular at Lone Star.

-- Larry Flynt ate at Lone Star last night! Lyndz wasn't working though, sadly.

-- Paul Allen's (#2nd largest privately owned in the world) yacht was docked in the Harbour for a couple days. I wanted to get a picture of it yesterday but he was gone. It looks like a cruise ship. It's even got a helicopter at the back. It was pretty cool.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

NEW PLACE

Dear Livejournal,

I am taking a trip home on Sunday. My grandmother passed away this weekend. It is very hard being away from my family right now. I wish I was going to see them under different circumstances, but it will feel good to see them.

Lyndz and I moved in to our new place last month. I took a few pictures.

Living room:

Kitchen:

Bedroom:

It's not a huge place, but it's nice. We've got a decent pool and I've never even seen any punk kids in it. The place is definitely a big improvement over the other 1 bedrooms that were available.

A couple weekends ago we had the welcome party for the new starts at Casanova's.

Me and Juansies:

Juansies and Jojo (the coolest guy in the office):

Random people in front of a beautiful Caribbean sky:

This is most of the people that started at the same time as I did last year:

Joshua being a player (doesn't he remind you of Carlton Banks?):

I must read comics that I downloaded forthwith.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

RETRACTION

Dear Livejournal,

I made a mistake in my last entry. I don't know why I said that we ate Wolfgangbanger's. We actually ate at Emeril's New Orlean's fish house and it was delicious.

Love, Hallsy XOXO

THE GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE

Dear Livejournal,

Sorry for the delay in reporting on my trip to the Gas. I've been busy.

Anyway, Lyndz and I went to Vegas the day after my birthday. On Tuesday night, Lyndz took me out for dinner at Copper Falls Steakhouse. The steakie was delicious. We got to bed a little after midnight and got up around 4:30 to catch our plane. So Wednesday was pretty rough.

We got into the Gas around 6 and checked into the Signature at MGM Grand. The hotel was really nice, it's separate from the MGM but connected by a walkway, so we spent most of our time at the MGM. Our room was huge and pretty luxurious, with a big shower stall and 2 person jacuzzi. And we were on the 36th floor. This was our view:

Our room:

We had no time for a brief nap because we had to hightail it over to the Monte Carlo for Purple Reign, the ultimate Prince tribute band. The bar was packed but we lucked into a table close to the stage and got a large cylinder of brewdoggs:

We also ate some onion rings the size of Lyndsay's head:

Fake Prince was excellent. They played for an hour and covered a lot of the classics. The crowd going wild:

Towards the end of their first set, they brought out a fake Morris Day and Jerome to belt out some Time!!!1

Hallsy was in Heaven!!

Sadly, fake Prince announced that they would be taking a half hour break. We didn't want to wait that long because we were exhausted, so we missed Purple Rain. :-(

We played some slots on the way back and passed the Hell out.

Thursday we went downstairs to eat breakfast at the MGM Grand Buffet. It was a little disappointing; I expected a lot more stuff, but it was still pretty good. Sadly, this was the only buffet we made it to on this trip. I wanted to eat at the Wynn, but we didn't even have any time to go there. Anyway, the best part of breakfast was the little old lady that kept plying us with OJ. We had like 8 glasses on our table and she kept forcing us to drink more.

After that we went to the Planet Hollywood (formerly the Aladdin) mall for some shopping. We also picked up some Fat Tuesday's and some Mexican food. We did some gambling and drank some Fat Tuesdays. We were pretty worn out so we stayed in that night and ordered ridiculously expensive room service.

On Friday we got up early, picked up some Fat Tuesday's and hit the slot machines. Lyndz won a cool grandie so we ended up getting drrrrrunk at 11 in the morning. She treated me to an expensive lunch and a bottle of wine at Wolfgang Puck's. Crab and cheese fondue and some exotic fish. It was fantastic. We needed another nap after that because we were too loaded.

After our nap, we did some shopping at Caesar's Palace. We went through the Flamingo on the way and Lyndz got her ass kicked by the Monopoly machines. Lyndz of course had to stop at the Elton John giftshop and pick up some EJ crap.

I picked up some new jerseys at the mall there. We got some Fat Tuesday's and sat down by the aquarium, which had a Hallsyfish swimming around:

We stopped at FAO Schwartz so that Lyndz could play on the giant piano.

We had dinner at the Planet Hollywood and drank fake Fat Tuesday's there.

Saturday I got up while Lyndz was still in bed and finally played some beeeedge. It was back and forth for a while and I had to check in on Lyndz so I just went and bet $50 on the Irish. Lyndz and I went to Best Buy and dropped a big pile of cakie on DVDs. I lost my betting stub and was hella pissed because the Irish were so sure to win...Anyway, after that I played some more beedje and bet on some more college football. I won fiiity bones on Purdue. At one beedje table, my dealer was the Fish.

Saturday night we went to the Bellhirstgio and watched the fountains for a while. Then we slept for a full 3 hours before getting up to catch our plane home.

So we had a lot of fun in the Gas but we also missed out on a lot. Next time, we have to go for a week and not be hungover the day that we fly there. And we will probably have to schedule it for a week when Elton is playing. :-s

Love, Hallsy XOXO
